Yesterday, Joel Warady, Enjoy Life’s Chief Sales & Marketing Officer, guest starred on the Gluten Free School’s webinar “How to Read Food Labels like a Pro,” where he shared valuable insights on how to read food labels.

We understand a trip to the grocery store can be a daunting task. We not only want to provide you with gluten-free and allergy-friendly foods, but also educate you on what you should be looking for to stay safe. Check out the following takeaways from Joel on how to identify safe products:

  • Look for the gluten-free certification mark: this symbol, shown on the left, provides a trademark of trust that the product at hand has been tested under 20 ppm, the FDA’s requirement for a food to be labeled gluten-free. Enjoy Life was the very first company to become certified gluten-free, with ALL products testing under 5 ppm!
  • Pay close attention to where food labels indicate manufacturing processes: although an allergen may not be a direct ingredient, it may be present in the facility where the product was made.
  • If you’re still not sure, call the company! We’re happy to answer any questions you may have via phone, email, or over our social media channels: Twitter, Facebook and Instagram.

Tune in below as Joel dissects food labels and the gluten-free certification mark so you’ll be able to read food labels like a pro during your next trip to the grocery store.
