Enjoy Life Foods’ Allergy Friendly Promise
Making great tasting foods that are allergy friendly and healthier for everyone has been our mission since the very beginning. Here’s how we make our foods free from gluten and 14 allergens.
Allergy Friendly Everything
All Enjoy Life Foods products are free from gluten and 14 common food allergens – wheat, peanuts, tree nuts, dairy, casein, soy, egg, sesame, sulfites, lupin, mustard, fish, shellfish and crustaceans. In addition, most of our products are made in our very own allergy-friendly facility, built from the ground up to meet these high standards.

Allergen Testing
We continually perform allergen tests to verify that our facility upholds our stringent standards, allowing you to eat freely as you enjoy our snacks. Our ingredient suppliers are required to complete non-contamination certificates for every item that we purchase. Additionally we perform our own internal tests for gluten, casein, peanut and soy proteins.
Allergy Friendly Ingredients
Forfeiting common allergens doesn’t mean we forfeit the taste or texture you crave. We get creative with our ingredients to bring you foods that are safe and delicious. In addition to carefully sourced rice products, we use nutrient-rich and flavor-rich grain alternatives such as quinoa, amaranth, buckwheat and sorghum. Instead of eggs, we use a combination of baking powder, flax and applesauce.
In addition to allergy friendly ingredients, we prefer to use nutritious, all-natural, and non-GMO ingredients too. Rather than saturated fats, we use non-hydrogenated, trans fat-free safflower oil. For sweeteners, we skip the refined stuff and use a combination of natural fruit juices and honey or pure brown cane sugar. We also bake with rosemary extract and a fruit juice/grain dextrin mixture to lock-in freshness and extend shelf life.

Allergy Friendly Facilities
In 2016 we opened North America’s largest dedicated allergy-friendly and certified gluten-free bakery in Jeffersonville, Indiana. Here we make the majority of our food. Not all of our products are made in Jeffersonville, but they are always manufactured in a facility with validated allergen cleaning and testing processes. Read more about how we make our foods in our FAQ.
