Being able to enjoy treats from a bakery can be very difficult, if not impossible, when you have food allergies. For those with food allergies, you can’t simply walk into a bakery and pick out anything we want. During Food Allergy Awareness Week, Enjoy Life Foods is celebrating some of the fantastic bakeries that dedicate their business to creating allergy-friendly products making it easier for our community to indulge in some delicious fresh-baked sweets.

Any guesses on which chocolate chips these bakeries use in their recipes? If you guessed Enjoy Life’s chocolate chips, you are correct!

Here are some truly amazing bakeries from all over the United States that take food allergy concerns seriously and allow those with food allergies to enjoy bakery treats.

As always, it is important to double check with the bakeries and owners to ensure that their products are safe for you and your dietary needs.

“Andy and I both grew up near the Eastside of Los Angeles. Andy, being lactose intolerant, found it difficult to find dairy-free baked goods as a child. I also grew up lactose intolerant, later transitioning to vegan. For me, finding alternative options without dairy, egg or animal byproducts meant traveling to the Westside of Los Angeles where many of the vegan options were at the time. We began Cake Girl with the idea that you do not have to travel to the Westside of Los Angeles to find allergy friendly baked goods.” – Amy Tam
