Ways to Top Your Allergy-Friendly Waffles

4.15_IGI don’t know about you guys, but lately I have been in the mood for breakfast food 24/7.  If you know me, you know that I love pancakes. One of my favorite things to do is come up with creative pancake recipes, many of which include Enjoy Life Foods chocolate, of course! Now that we have a Pancake & Waffle Mix, this happens a lot more often! My pancake flipping skills are not always up to par, but the important thing is the taste, right?

4.15_PII enjoy waffles almost as much as I do pancakes. I used to LOVE them growing up. Especially Mickey Mouse waffles. When I was a kid, I would top my Mickey waffles with peanut butter, chocolate chips and maple syrup. Now that I’m allergic to peanuts, wheat and dairy, I’ve switched those toppings out for allergy-friendly alternatives like Sunflower Seed Butter and Enjoy Life Mini Chips! Waffles are just as versatile as pancakes, which I really like. It’s so fun to mix it up with toppings! Here are some of my favorite toppings and add-ins:

  • Sunflower Seed Butter, Bananas & Bacon (Elvis would be proud!)
  • Berries and Dairy-Free Whipped Cream (or chocolate!)
  • Pumpkin Waffles with Mountain Mambo® Seed & Fruit Mix
  • Chocolate Chips & allergy-friendly marshmallows – S’mores waffles!
