We love the month of May because it’s such an important time in the gluten-free and food allergy world. It’s a time where there is an extra awareness to the celiac and food allergy communities in the media, online and at events.
This month has been a great one for incredible gluten-free and allergy-friendly recipes. Whenever I tell people about my list of food allergies/intolerances (gluten, dairy, corn, tomatoes, apples & peanuts, I hear “Wow, that must be awful” or “What can you even eat?!” But honestly, I’ve found that adjusting to a life with food allergies has allowed me to learn more about what I’m eating, and helped me learn how to cook!
I LOVE cooking, creating interesting recipes, and learning from other food allergy bloggers. It’s so amazing to see how creative our bloggers are! Below are some outstanding recipes that we received during Celiac Awareness and Food Allergy Awareness this month!
Vegan Gluten-Free Chocolate Espresso Donuts from Gluten-Free Palate
These bad boys are dunked in our Dark Chocolate Bars. Plus, the flavor combination is on point. Espresso and chocolate? Yes please!
Easy DIY Candy Bars from Go Dairy Free
Chocolate Ombre Rose Cake from Petite Allergy Treats
This cake is B-E-A-utiful! Almost too pretty to eat! But it’s made with our All-Purpose Flour Mix and has CHOCOLATE in it, so who am I to say no?!
Chewy Bar Ice Cream Sandwiches from Fork & Beans
Cara from Fork & Beans always has such cute, allergy-friendly recipes, and this one is no different! A simple, creative way to use our Chewy Bars had me running to the store for a pint of dairy-free ice cream!
I don’t know about you, but these recipes have inspired me to get baking! Celiac Awareness Month is still going on, and there are so many fun recipes to try – what will YOU bake of it? Tag @enjoylifefoods and #EatFreely in any social media posts with your recipes and kitchen creations, or email them to me at firstname.lastname@example.org. I can’t wait to see what you create!
