data-open-modal example

This modal can be opened by clicking the window icon in the pre-header. Because the link uses data-open-modal (instead of an href anchor) nothing appears in the address bar. You also can't use the back/forward buttons to close or reopen the modal. However, if you know the ID of the modal, you can still manually type the anchor link in your address bar and it will open (handy for client previews).

To simulate an extremely long modal and show how modals scroll, here's a ton of lorem ipsum:

Sweetheart S'mores

Makes 6 servings

Ingredients

1 box Enjoy Life Foods Snickerdoodle Soft Baked Cookies
3 large marshmallows
1 Enjoy Life Foods Ricemilk Chocolate Bar

Instructions

Cut the marshmallows in half, so you have a total of six pieces. Set aside.
Break the chocolate bar into four sections. Then break each section in half for a total of eight pieces. Set aside.
Slightly flatten two Snickerdoodle cookies. Use a heart shaped cookie cutter or a knife to cut out your “sweetheart cookie”.
Place one piece of chocolate in center. Slightly flatten a marshmallow piece and place it on top of the chocolate. Cover with remaining cookie.
Assemble more s’mores with remaining ingredients. Place s’mores on a microwavable plate.
Microwave for 10-20 seconds or until the chocolate starts to melt and the marshmallow softens. Remove and enjoy!
